It’s a really simple dish and cooks in just a few minutes making it a delicious and nutritious fast food. You can use chicken thighs instead of ground chicken.


  • 250 g ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 2 packages holy basil
  • 6-7 pieces Thai chili pepper (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil


Step 1

Mince garlic and chili pepper together. Clean and pick holy basil leaves from their stems.

Step 2

Take a large sauce pan, pour oil and heat over high heat; add garlic and chili pepper and stir until garlic turns to golden to brown. Then add ground chicken and stir constantly until all the juice come out from the chicken will be gone (for couple of minutes).

Step 3

Add fish sauce. Then add holy basil. Quickly turn it over a few times to mix the leaves with the meat and then remove from the heat.

Serve hot with rice.
