Crab Fried Rice is very popular dish among natives. And all the green of the cilantro, green onions, lime and cucumber is making it quite pretty.


  • 200 g cooked rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 2-3 green onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 cup crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce


Step 1

Cook rice with water; drain and set aside.

Step 2

Take a canned crab and squeeze out all the water.

Step 3

Take a large sauce pan and preheat with oil. Put chopped garlic in it and stir until turns golden to brown; then add cooked rice. Stir and mix the rice with the oil. Add crab meat and stir again.

Step 4

Add a teaspoon of oil and crack the egg into the spot. Scramble the egg to cook it. Then incorporate the egg into the rest of the fried rice. Repeat the same steps to add another egg.

Step 5

Add fish sauce and ground white pepper and taste. Stir and taste again. Add the chopped green onions, few cilantro leaves as a garnish.

The Crab Fried Rice should be fluffy, dotted with crab chunks and green onion and should not be oily. Serve with sliced cucumber, a wedge of lime and chili fish sauce.
